For some property owners, the battle against pests ends up with traps, poison, or an expensive pest control company. But, when rabbits decimated Stephen Mull's lawn and irrigation system, the North Valley homeowner searched for a better answer. His search led him into a whole new career as the owner of a synthetic grass installation company and wholesale distributor of artificial turf and installation products.
The installation of artificial grass proved to be a turning point for Stephen. Along with his wife, Bonnie, he decided that waiting weeks to install a beautiful artificial lawn was unsatisfactory. Stephen called his old friend Doug Porter, a strong leader and get-it-done kind of guy, to help. Stephen and Doug began Arizona Turf Masters.
They met with supply problems early in the business, which Bonnie helped solve when she and Stephen opened The Synthetic Grass Store. Turf and the necessary components such as tools, equipment, machinery, and supplies would be accessible to not only Arizona Turf Masters but also everyone else. Anyone from the typical homeowner to the professional landscape contractor or pool installation company can procure everything they need under one roof.
For Stephen and Bonnie, enjoying their gorgeous synthetic lawn is a particular source of joy. It inspired them to create two badly-needed additions to the artificial grass product and installation business and made the same possible for thousands of homeowners and businesses nationwide.
